This topic allows learners to express their opinions, speculate on future advancements, and explore the ethical implications of AI, fostering critical thinking and enhancing their ability to articulate thoughts in English.

Instructions:
Go through the vocabulary below with your students and ask them to try and use this vocabaulry where possible when discussing the different conversation questions.

What is AI?

AI, or Artificial Intelligence, refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines designed to perform tasks that typically require human intellect. It involves creating computer programs that can think, learn and make decisions on their own.

AI systems are built to analyse vast amounts of data, recognise patterns and solve complex problems. They can be found in various applications, such as virtual assistants, recommendation algorithms and autonomous vehicles.

AI technology utilises techniques like machine learning, where computers learn from experience which involves training neural networks. In essence, AI aims to replicate human cognitive abilities, enabling machines to perform tasks intelligently and autonomously.
